New Assembly line sep up - gear Sinered Metal boxes
In order to enhance its own R&D capacities on the P/M gears for power transmission, Lenco is now developing a test rig (see Fig. 1) for validation of load capacity of gears through an industry-academy cooperation project with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of National Central University, Taiwan.
With the test rig, based on the back-to-back principle as shown in Fig. 2, the following characteristics of new developed gears and gear units can be validated:
§ Surface durability of gears,
§ Tooth bending strength gears,
§ Fatigue reliability of gear units.
Through its modular design, the different gears and/or gear units developed by Lenco can be tested on the test rig flexibly.
This test rig is expected to be installed in December 2007. Lenco will afterwards apply it to test the following new developed products:
§ gears manufactured with new developed high strength P/M materials, and
§ gear units, especially the planetary gear units for power transmission.
